All about Alex the Mind Reader

Alex McAleer is a twenty-six year old professional Mind Reader and Psychological Magician. He lives in the East of England with his partner and their young-son Jack.

Alex's professional career as a mind reader began in 2007 when he decided to combine his passions for performing, magic, psychology and people-reading to create an engaging and fascinating form of entertainment.

Rather than becoming just another jack-of-all-trades magician, Alex focused his skills on reading people and their thoughts. As a result, Alex has performed his mind reading and psychological magic across the UK for numerous corporations and private individuals, including Virgin Atlantic, BBC, Greene King, The Princes Trust, Marriot Hotels, Addison Lee, Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London... plus many more.

Alex is also known internationally amongst his peers as a creative and original thinker, having produced several private publications for the magic community. He has also acted as consultant for a number of other performers and theatrical productions, using his knowledge of magic and psychology to enhance their performance and productions.

In 2008 and 2009 Alex performed a series of full-length shows in regional theatres around the East of England and continues to perform publicly in theatres and cabaret nights across the country including Magic Night at Madame Jojo's London Soho and Late Night Magic at the Jermyn Street Theatre London.

In 2011, Alex devised an all-new one-man show "The (Not-So) Secret Diary of a Mind Reader" which premiered at the Bury Fringe Festival.

Alex has also become a very popular wedding entertainer and in 2009 he was chosen to represent the East of England as one of the UK’s Top Wedding Entertainers by Brides Magazine.

In the media, Alex has made numerous appearances on BBC and local Radio and in the press including features in the East Anglian Daily Times, Suffolk Magazine, Brides Magazine, IP1 Magazine and Roundabout Magazine.
